5:00?

While watching television last night, that Bud Light commercial came on where the guy stays 2 minutes past 5:00 on a Friday. The joke is that he is a daredevil, etc. The substance of the commercial doesn't really interest me, but it did make me realize something. I don't know a single person who leaves work at 5:00. Everyone stays at least until 5:30, if not later. I was wondering if this is a Washington, DC thing, or has this trend has swept the whole country?

  1. Yeah, I always stay until at least 6, if not 6:30. But there are people in my building who leave right at 5 every day. And I hope they burn in hell.

In L.A., it's even worse. Most people in the film industry work until at least 7 p.m., if not 8 or 9. But they do roll in around 10 a.m., so I guess that's a little better.

  3. Well isn't Naomi great? Why :02 by the way? Also, I might have to stop you from starting fights on my blog. It is one thing to antagonize Jeff because he sucks at Dr. Mario, but it is another to flaunt your early departure time from work.

I'm self employed and sometimes don't even go to work. . .But when I do, I generally leave at 5:30. And that's to go to the kitchen to grab a beer outta the fridge, thus signifying the universally understood end of the work day.

  7. I would like to take this opportunity to apologize to Naomi. I hate Darren infinitely more right now.

Save your hatred for naomi, because it can also be said that I never really leave work until I roll into bed and fall asleep.

  9. I can see how you might think that is an acceptable excuse, but I am not buying it.

You guys could leave earlier than 5:00 if you were not wasting all day writing comments.
